We offer roofing services!
We carry out the work with a high sense of responsibility, with high quality and within short deadlines. We offer our services in roofing using ecological materials. Such as reeds, tiles, green roofs, shingles or chips, and we also offer roofs for gazebos, create decorative details for the end of the roof. Roofing materials, reeds and shingles are also offered.
Reed roof is one of the first roofing materials that people started to use as a roof.
The longevity of thatched roofs has been tested over the centuries. The reed roof is both a covering material, a sound insulation material, and an insulation material – which slightly replaces the insulation up to 5 cm. In summer, it is pleasantly cool under the reed roof. A reed roof is a traditional and natural roofing material.
Reeds as a material are harvested (collected) on lakes or near sea shores. Which grows anew every year, because
a more well-kept reed meadow, thus higher quality young reeds grow. The reeds should be firm, sunny yellow and the recommended diameter is 0.6-1.2 cm.
The reed roof can be laid at a 35 degree slope. A 30 cm thick reed roof is laid on the house. for garden sheds,
barns and gazebos can have a 25 cm thick reed cover. Then such well laid reed roofs last up to 80 years and more. The longevity of reed roofs depends on the proximity of the tree, preferably when the branches do not bend on the reed covering. As well as from the quality of the reeds, the choice of the correct lathing steps and the laying skills of the master. A reed roof is handmade, as each bundle of reeds is tied or screwed to the lath. Then the reed craftsman creates a deck of reeds with a grooved board (klap).
The reed roof should be inspected every 5 years, then the damages caused by nature or other conditions on the reed covering can be prevented in time. Moss, which is the biggest enemy of a reed roof, should be cleaned from the roof. Moisture accumulates under the moss, which promotes rotting. The roof should also be protected from birds that sow various seeds and acorns there.
It is a misconception that reed roofs are not fireproof. Reeds belong to the group of low-burning materials. They are fireproof due to their dense covering. When building a house and properly following all fire safety standards, a reed roof is definitely safer than a synthetic roof covering. Even a rocket or cigarette butt accidentally falling on the roof will not cause a fire accident.
Reed roofs can be laid on the roof rafters of structures of various complexity. Reeds can be used to create structures, skylights and balconies.
Reed roofs are very scenic and highlight the contours of the roof well!
Clay tile roofing has been around for a very long time. Clay tiles are a traditional and at the same time prestigious roof covering. The biggest advantage of tiles is their long service life and high resistance to climatic weather conditions. Tile roofing can withstand wide temperature fluctuations and, unlike other natural roofing materials such as wood, clay does not deteriorate and is not threatened by pests and microorganisms.
Today, the quality of tiles has improved and they are also available in concrete. Concrete tiles are cheaper than clay tiles, but they have the same shape. As the years go by, tile roofing only becomes more beautiful and interesting. The cost of building a tiled roof is similar to other types of covering. The approximate service life of the covering is even more than 100 years, so the tile roof is the most advantageous from the point of view of service life.
A tiled roof, unlike other types of coverings, provides greater comfort. It is silent in the rain, electrostatically neutral, energy efficient in both hot summers and cold winters, is visually attractive and ecologically clean.
Green roofing is undeniably the most interesting roof covering. This cover is laid on a flat base, covering it with waterproofing materials, on which a top layer of swamp, land with all grass and dogs is applied. In the past, when waterproofing materials were not available, birch planks were used instead.
During heavy rains, the green roof acts as a kind of sponge and performs other useful functions at the same time. Equally important, green roofing absorbs far less heat than other roofing materials. The installation of a green roof improves the air quality in the building.
Green roofs can last up to 50 years. The green roof covering is an excellent thermal insulation material, which allows you to save money and reduce heating bills in the winter. In summers, which are getting warmer every year, green roofs do not overheat and relieve air conditioning systems.
Shingle roofs were widely installed on wooden houses until the 1940s. Even in our days, this roofing has not lost its relevance and the owner’s choice for his building.
Tiled and chipped roofs create a distinctly ecological impression and are as if created for the landscape of Latvia!
Shingle roofs can be laid on houses, saunas, guest houses and gazebos. Shingle roofs can be applied to roofs of various shapes, as the material is plastic and easily bends to the installation of complex protrusions.
Chips are made from aspen, pine and fir. Aspen is the cheapest material, but it lasts longer than pine or fir. When laying the chip roof, they are placed with the broken fiber down and the coating is gradually formed, covering 2/3 of the chips. Shingle roofs are ecologically clean, they do not heat up in the summer and the roof also serves as a sound insulation material.
Laying a chip roof is not very difficult, but it is better to entrust it to roofers who have experience, because the master can evaluate the material and lay a roof of a more complex structure.
When laying a chip roof, only freshly torn chips, kept for one or two months, can be used. If stored longer, they dry out and become brittle. Improperly laid chips can be deformed, but it also depends on the structure of the tree (aspen) where it grew and the roofer cannot predict this when laying.
The shingles are laid on wooden slats, nailing them with 60-70 mm long galvanized nails. When laying a roof in three cards, the material consumption is approximately 60-70 chips per square meter. When laying shingle roofing material in two layers, approximately 45-50 chips per square meter will be needed. A three-layer aspen chip (shingle) roof will last up to 30 years without additional treatment (impregnation).
We offer to make the decorative details of the roof ridge from aspen, fir and pine, or other material of your choice. Roof finishes made by us will emphasize the individuality of the building.

Gazebos are one of the most popular and common structures in the garden. In them you can hide from the rain and enjoy the lyrical moods of nature. Spend a nice summer evening in a group of friends or relatives.
Gazebos are often installed in a remote corner of the garden or near a pond. Sometimes gazebos are placed in clusters of trees. Often, the same materials used in the construction of houses are used in the construction of gazebos. In contrast to the structure, gazebos can be light and airy, or, on the contrary, heavy and fundamental. A gazebo can be designed in the style of Robinson Crusoe, as a refuge, as a witch’s cabin, or a hunter’s hut with an oriental touch.
Gazebos can be covered with different roofing materials. Starting from ruberoid paper, bitumen metal tiles, reed shingles, or chip roofs, up to green roofs. Gazebo roofs can be of different shapes, round, three-, four-, six- or even eight-cornered.
Reed as a roofing material has proven value over the years. A correctly and qualitatively applied reed roof lasts more than a hundred years. Reeds are the most ecologically clean roofing material. They are not impregnated with harmful chemicals.
Reeds as a material are harvested (collected) on lakes or near sea shores. Which grows anew every year, the more cultivated the reed meadow, the higher the quality of the new reeds. The reeds should be firm, sunny yellow and the recommended diameter is 0.6-1.2 cm.
